Mycorrhizae as a Bio-Fertilizer
Specification:
Mycorrhizae is a symbiotic relationship in between fungi and vascular plant which can assimilate plant nutrients from soil and improve the nutrient uptake capability of plant.
Species: Glomus fasciculatum
Mode of action:
Symbiosis:
Mycorrhizae are present universally in soil. Mycorrhizae are obligate and saprophytic in nature which requires a living host for its survival. The Mycorrhizae start associating symbiotically with root of the plants. This helps in the absorption of water, Phosphorus solubilization and other essential macro and micro elements and makes them available to the plants inconsumable form.
Mineral nutrients such as Potassium, Calcium, Copper, Zinc and Iron are also assimilated more quickly and in greater amounts by the application of mycorrhizae.
Resistance:
Mycorrhizae is also believed to impart drought tolerance to plants and resistance to soil borne fungal pathogens through its symbiotic associative property.
Compatibility:
Mycorrhizae is compatible with BioPesticides and other BioFertilizers.
Benefits from Mycorrhiza:
Mycorrhiza increased water nutrient absorption capabilities while the plant provides the food with carbohydrates formed from photosynthesis.
It also helps increases white roots
Mycorrhiza is earthworm friendly, pet friendly, eco-friendly and infant friendly.
Natural macro and micro nutrient solubilization improves both plant and soil health and also aids in soil remediation.
Protection against certain pathogens in rhizosphere.
Create healthy environment for other beneficial soil microorganisms.
It helps to maintain soil pH which leads to solubility of all nutrients.
The mycorrhizal fungi also aids in soil aggregation, which can increase water filtration and gas exchange within the soil.
They offer protection to plants and provides increased root surface area.
Target crops:
Useful in all crops in every stage.
